When giving up is not an option but you feel like you have nothing left, you are in one of the hardest places a person can be. You have rebuilt. It fell apart. You got up. And it happened again. Starting over once is hard enough. Twice is brutal. Three times can feel impossible.
A client of mine recently told me: “I feel like I have given everything I had to give. And now I am supposed to somehow start again?” I could feel the exhaustion in her voice. Not just physical, but emotional. Soul-deep.
Here is what I know: the moment you think you have got nothing left is often the moment something new stirs beneath the surface.
A Powerful Tool When You Feel Depleted
When you are in that stuck, depleted place, your body needs a reset before your mind can find clarity. One of my go-to tools is an Acu-Emotional Resonance Point called Stomach 36 (Zusanli), also known as The Leg Three Miles Point.
The name comes from a legend of Chinese warriors who would wear leather sashes with stones hanging from either side of their waist while they hiked across mountains and battlefields. Repeatedly stimulating this acupressure point along their journey gave them enough energy, stamina, and perseverance to walk three more miles when they felt they could not take another step.
How to Use Stomach 36
Find the point about four finger-widths below your kneecap, on the outer edge of your shinbone. Apply firm pressure or tap on this point for several minutes while breathing deeply. You can do both legs at once. This point is known for boosting energy, strengthening digestion, and building resilience in the body and mind.
Why Starting Over Gets Easier (Even When It Does Not Feel Like It)
Every time you rebuild, you carry forward everything you have learned. You are not starting from zero. You are starting from experience, from wisdom, from a deeper understanding of who you are and what you truly want.
The exhaustion you feel is real. Honor it. Rest when you need to. And know that the capacity to keep going is already inside you. Sometimes you just need the right tool to access it.
The Subconscious Piece Most People Miss
When life keeps knocking you down in the same ways, there is usually a subconscious pattern running the show. A belief like “I have to struggle to survive” or “good things do not last for me” can create a repeating cycle that no amount of willpower can break.
Releasing these beliefs at the subconscious level is what finally breaks the cycle. It is the difference between pushing through on empty and moving forward from a place of genuine inner strength.
