The 10 Most Important Steps to Loving Life

After over three decades in the mind-body field, with degrees in psychology and marriage and family therapy, 15 years teaching mind-body practices, and the past decade working with the subconscious mind as a Master Level PSYCH-K® Facilitator and Neuro-Somatic Practitioner, here is what I have found to be the 10 most important steps to loving life.

These are the steps to loving life that I come back to again and again, both in my own experience and in the work I do with clients. They are simple. They are powerful. And they work.

Step 1: Take Responsibility for Everything Happening in Your Life Right Now

For everything that you have or do not have. This is one of the hardest steps to loving life, and the most freeing. When you stop blaming and start owning, everything shifts.

Step 2: Release the Stronghold of Old Stories Keeping You Stuck

It was a past volume. Start a new one right now. The stories you keep telling yourself about who you are and what happened to you are running your life on autopilot. You get to write a new chapter any time you choose.

Step 3: Accept Yourself, Everyone, and Everything As It Is

The good, the bad, the ugly, the beautiful. Just because you accept it does not mean you cannot change it or that it is not changing. Accept everything in the evolution. All consciousness is rising. We are continuing to learn, grow, and evolve.

Step 4: Release Harsh Judgments of Self and Others

Release pain, shame, anger, fear, resentment, abandonment, feeling unworthy or unlovable. These are the weights that keep you from experiencing the life that is waiting for you on the other side of letting go.

Step 5: Remember That You Are Innately Valuable

You are immeasurably lovable, always connected to, and a part of Source, nature, and all beings. You belong here. Make no mistake, you are important. You are loved. And this is something to rest in, rather than running around trying to prove. Anchor deep into the knowing that you are worthy of being here and worthy of love because you have been given the breath of life.

Step 6: Write a New Story with You as the Hero

Remember that as long as you have breath in your lungs, you have the power to create a new story. You are the author of your life. Pick up the pen and start writing the version that lights you up.

Step 7: Heal Your Inner Child

So much of what holds us back comes from wounds we experienced in childhood. Taking the time to listen to, comfort, and re-parent that younger version of yourself is one of the most transformative things you can do.

Step 8: Build Genuine Connections

Invest in relationships that are real, honest, and supportive. Let go of relationships that drain you. Surround yourself with people who see you, challenge you, and celebrate your growth.

Step 9: Live with Purpose and Passion

Find what makes you come alive and give it your time and energy. Purpose gives you direction. Passion gives you fuel. Together, they make life feel meaningful.

Step 10: Practice Gratitude Daily

Gratitude rewires your brain. It shifts your focus from what is missing to what is present. Start each day by naming three things you are grateful for and watch how your experience of life begins to change.

Why These Steps to Loving Life Actually Work

These are not just feel-good ideas. Each step addresses something at the level of your subconscious programming, your nervous system, or your emotional patterns. When you work at those levels, change happens fast and it sticks.

You do not have to do all 10 at once. Start with the one that feels most alive for you right now. Even one step can shift everything.
